The Ross Good Neighbours’ Helpline is a lifeline to many residents, especially if you do not have internet access. For example, our trained Helpline volunteers can use the Herefordshire Council Talk Community website to access the information you need to put you in touch with the right people to give you information and advice. So the Helpline is your gateway to information about:
- Ross Good Neighbours and the services we offer
- Children and families – from pregnancy to leaving school.
- Equipment, adaptations and technology – helping you stay independent and safe in your own home
- Housing and accommodation options, homelessness prevention and help to heat your home.
- Keeping safe –including online safety, scams, safety at home and in the community, through to bullying, self-harm and domestic abuse.
- Keeping well, staying healthy – healthy eating, stopping smoking, mental health, loneliness and bereavement.
- Looking after someone – information for about support for adult and young carers.
- Learning, work and volunteering – careers advice, apprenticeships and traineeships, and support for young people not in education, employment or training.
- Money, debt and budgeting, and paying for care and support.
- Ways to support yourself at home including falls prevention, meals and shopping.
- Public and community and school transport.
