National Highways operates, maintains and improves England’s motorways and major A-roads.
This is to let you know we’ll be carrying out mobile road marking and stud renewal works at various locations along the A40 from approximately Forest Gate to Lea. We’ll be in each location for a short period of time. Works will start at Forest Gate (Huntley) and proceed towards Lea. We’ll work overnight between the hours of 8pm and 6am when traffic flows are at their lowest.
Please accept our apologies in advance for any noise disruption caused by our machinery. We’ll make every effort to ensure the impact on the local community and travelling public is kept to a minimum.
Traffic management
These are mobile works so temporary barriers will be in place for short periods of time. Access for residents will be maintained, although this may involve a brief delay depending on our stage of work.
We always aim to work to the programme, however unforeseen circumstances or adverse weather conditions may mean changes.
