PCSO Claire Denton and her colleague are planning an event to property mark any equipment/ tools/ etc that is often kept in sheds and garages over the next few months. The property being marked is done via a pen and clearly displays the name or number of a property and the postcode. This deters the criminal from stealing as they then cannot really sell it on as it looks suspicious. Also, if the worst happens and the item is stolen, the police can then return the items to the owner.
